Mike Shipley New Producer of the Ron Wells Carving Knife Mike was born and raised in Ozark County Missouri in the heart of the Ozark Mountains. He is a self taught carver and has been carving since 1976. Mike is a professional carver and has been teaching classes since 1996. Don Swartz at Hillcrest Carving Now Selling Ron Wells Blanks Don lives in Lancaster County, PA, among the Amish. A member of the PA Guild of Craftsmen, he has been carving for 25 years and is self taught. Most of his work is of a caricature nature, a little free-spirited with just a hint of realism. In other words, "He carves what he darn well pleases!" After 35 years as a physical therapist he retired to "carve out the rest of his life a 'whittle' at a time." He sells all kinds of carving supplies from his shop, Hillcrest Carving, and is quite pleased to be able to offer the delightfull cast of characters developed by Ron Wells over his carving career.
